Lately, when I hit around 60 mph, my Expedition starts to shake like it’s doing the cha-cha. It’s mostly noticeable in the steering wheel. I just got new tires, so I don’t think it's them. Could it be the alignment or something worse? Anyone else had this kind of problem?

Help! My key is stuck in the ignition, and I’ve tried everything I can think of. It’s a 2016 Expedition, and it’s driving me nuts. I can’t figure out if I need to replace the ignition switch or if I’m missing some trick to getting it out. The car is in park, but it’s like the vehicle doesn’t recognize it or something. I’ve wiggled the steering wheel, tried turning the key back and forth, and even double-checked that the gear shifter is fully in park. Still no luck.

Has anyone else run into this problem? I read somewhere it could be the battery or a shift interlock issue, but I’m not sure if that's what’s happening here. I really don’t want to tow it to a shop if it’s something simple I can fix myself. Could it be a fuse or something with the brake pedal sensor? I’ve tried pressing the brake harder, but that didn’t work either. Super frustrating!

Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! Let me know if this is a common problem with Expeditions, or if I’m just having terrible luck!

Hey everyone, I’m looking to replace the tires on my 2018 Expedition. It’s mostly for highway driving, so I’m aiming for something that’s super quiet. I’m done with that loud hum from my current tires, especially on long trips. Any recommendations on the quietest tires? I’ve heard good things about Michelin Defenders, but I’m not sure if they’re worth it. Thoughts?

Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2017 Ford Escape SEL, and I’m in the middle of upgrading my headlights to some slick new LED bulbs. But before I go full DIY on this, I want to make sure I don’t mess up the wiring.  Does anyone know the exact wire color code for the headlights on a 2017 Escape?

I’ve heard it can be different depending on the trim, and I’d rather avoid trial and error here – don’t really want to end up with flickering lights or, worse, something not working at all. I don’t have a service manual handy, and the online info seems a bit all over the place. I’m hoping someone’s got a cheat sheet or wiring diagram that can save me a headache (and potentially a trip to the mechanic).

Also, if anyone’s done this upgrade before, how tricky was it? Should I be bracing myself for any surprises with the wiring harness? I’m pretty comfortable with small electrical work, but cars always like to throw in that one unexpected twist, right?  Any help would be awesome – thanks in advance!

So I noticed a bit of fluid coming from the weep hole on the water pump of my Escape. It’s not a lot, but I’ve heard it could be a sign of the water pump going bad. 😬 Should I get it replaced now, or is it safe to drive for a bit longer? Trying to avoid unnecessary repair costs, but don’t want to push my luck either.

Just a fun question here – does the Ford Escape come in a desert sand color? I saw a picture online, and it looked amazing, but I can’t find any info on that color option for the Escape. Anyone know if this was a limited edition or just a custom paint job?

Hey tire gurus, I’m in the market for new tires for my 2019 Ford Escape Titanium, and I stumbled upon the Toyo Open Country A20. They seem decent from what I’ve seen online, but I can’t find much info on how well they actually perform on a Ford Escape. I do a mix of city and highway driving, with the occasional weekend trip out of town, so I need something that can handle both smoothly.

Anyone out there tried these on their Escape? How’s the traction in wet weather or light snow? I’m in an area where it rains a fair bit, so handling in slippery conditions is a big deal for me. Also, how’s the road noise? My current tires are super noisy, and I’m hoping to find something quieter for those longer drives.

I’ve also been considering other brands like Michelin and Goodyear, but the Toyos are priced a bit better. Would love to hear from anyone who’s put these tires through their paces on an Escape! Should I give them a shot, or keep looking? Appreciate any feedback, especially if you've been driving on these for a while!

Can someone clear this up for me? Is all-wheel drive standard on the Escape or do you have to shell out extra for it? I keep seeing mixed info online, and the dealership wasn’t much help either. Would AWD be worth it for mostly city driving with the occasional snowy winter?

So I just got a shiny new Ford Escape (woohoo! ), but the dealer told me to wait until 7,500 miles for the first oil change. Is that normal, or should I do it sooner? Don’t want to mess things up right out of the gate. What’s everyone else done with their first oil change?

Hey everyone, I’ve got a 2020 Ford Escape SE, and I’m trying to figure out how much weight I can safely load into the trunk. I’m planning a massive Costco run (you know how it is, you go in for a few things, and come out with a mountain of stuff! 🛒😂), but I don’t want to overdo it and mess up my suspension.

I’ve heard the max cargo weight is around 500 pounds, but I’m wondering if that’s a hard limit or if people have managed to push it a bit further? The owner’s manual is pretty vague about it, and I’ve seen some folks load it up way past that. I’m also planning to throw a few heavier items in there – think cases of water, dog food, and who knows what else – so I’m a little paranoid about the suspension or rear shocks taking a hit.

Has anyone with a 2020 Escape SE or similar trim pushed their trunk capacity to the limit? Does the car handle it well, or do you feel the suspension sag a bit? Let me know your experience, especially if you’ve done big hauls like this before! Would love to know if it’s better to split the load or if the Escape can handle Costco chaos in one trip!
