  Bolt Pattern for 2022 Bronco
Posted by: LexusLeo - 04-11-2025, 06:20 AM - Forum: Bronco - Replies (1)

The bolt pattern for the 2022 Ford Bronco is 6x135mm. This means there are 6 lug nuts and the distance between the lug nut centers across the diameter is 135mm. When looking for aftermarket wheels, make sure the bolt pattern matches 6x135mm to ensure proper fitment on your Bronco.

Spot on, SUVSteveBEST! The 5x114.3mm lug pattern is a common specification for the 2004 Ford Ranger, ensuring compatibility with appropriately sized wheels. Verifying this detail before wheel replacement is essential for a secure and proper fit. Thanks for sharing this valuable information!

Correct Oil Type for 2003 Ford Ranger
Posted by: JaguarJi11 - 12-14-2024, 10:28 PM - Forum: Ranger - Replies (1)

The recommended oil type for a 2003 Ford Ranger is 5W-30. It is important to use oil that meets the API (American Petroleum Institute) specifications as outlined in the owner's manual. Additionally, considering the age and mileage of your vehicle, you may also want to consider using a high-quality synthetic oil for better engine performance and protection.

Can I Use Brake Fluid for Power Steering in a Ford Edge?
Posted by: Nicko - 4 minutes ago - Forum: Edge - No Replies

So, I was in a pinch and almost poured brake fluid into my power steering reservoir on my Ford Edge because, hey, fluids are fluids, right? (Kidding!) But seriously, can you do that, or is that a big no-no? I figured I’d ask here before I try something that could blow up my car... Don’t worry, I haven’t done it yet, but it would be nice to know if anyone’s ever made this mistake and lived to tell the tale.

How to Fix the 'Shift to Park' Message in a Ford Edge?
Posted by: Nicko - 5 minutes ago - Forum: Edge - No Replies

Alright, Ford Edge fam, I’m at my wits' end with this 'Shift to Park' message. It keeps popping up, even when my car is definitely in park. Every time I try to turn the car off, I get the message, and it won't fully shut down until I jiggle the gear shifter. So far, I've tried wiggling it around (which works temporarily), but the message keeps coming back.

From what I’ve read, this could be something with the shift linkage or maybe a sensor that’s acting up? I haven't messed around with the wiring or anything yet, because, well… cars and wires, not my strong suit. But I really don’t want to shell out $$$ at the dealership if there's a fix I can do myself. Has anyone tried cleaning the sensor, or replacing the shifter switch?

Other than the message, the car drives fine. No issues shifting, but this message is driving me insane. Any help would be appreciated! Also, are there other symptoms I should look out for that might indicate a bigger problem? Anyone know a good workaround to avoid this annoying error?

Let’s hear those DIY solutions before I start pulling my hair out!

Why Does My Ford Edge Squeal When Starting?
Posted by: Nicko - 11 minutes ago - Forum: Edge - No Replies

Hey everyone, need some help here! So, my Ford Edge makes this really loud squeal when I first start it up in the morning or after it’s been sitting for a while. The sound goes away after a few seconds, but it's super embarrassing, and I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to happen. I’ve read it could be a belt issue, like the serpentine belt or maybe a tensioner that’s not doing its job?

I haven't checked yet, but could this be happening because of cold weather? Or maybe the belt is just worn out? I don’t want to wait too long and end up with an even bigger problem (or a huge bill). Anyone else had this happen, and if so, what did you do to fix it? Should I panic, or can I drive around for a bit with it squealing?
