What does the interior look like in the 2023 Ford Escape?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 10:06 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

Guys, the interior of the 2023 Escape is seriously nice. I was surprised! Got the leather-trimmed seats in mine, and they’re way more comfortable than I expected. The digital display is cool too, though sometimes I miss just having actual buttons (you know, for when my hands are freezing and touchscreen doesn’t wanna cooperate 😂). Overall, the cabin is quiet and roomy—perfect for road trips

What are the horsepower and engine options for the 2017 Ford Escape?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 10:01 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

I’m looking into getting an older model, and I’m curious about what engine choices were available back then. Does anyone know how much power each option offers and if there’s a noticeable difference in performance between them? I do a lot of highway driving, so I’m wondering if one engine would be better suited for that. If anyone’s driven the 2017 Escape and has some insights, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

What is the ground clearance of a 2019 Ford Escape?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 09:59 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

I'm thinking about doing some light off-roading, but I don’t want to risk damaging anything underneath. Does anyone know how high it sits off the ground and if it’s enough for uneven terrain or dirt roads? I’m also curious if you’ve taken it off-road and how it held up. Any tips or experiences would be super helpful, especially if you’ve tested it on rougher paths!

How big is the gas tank on a Ford Escape hybrid?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 09:57 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

I’m trying to figure out how often I’ll need to stop for gas and what kind of range I can expect between fill-ups. If anyone knows the exact tank size or has any experience with how far you can go on a full tank, I’d really appreciate the info! Also, if you’re driving a hybrid, how often are you hitting the gas station? Thanks!

Which engines are available for the Ford Escape 2024?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 09:57 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

Which engines are available for the Ford Escape 2024? I’m in the process of deciding which one to go for and could use some advice. I’ve heard there are a couple of different options, but I’m not sure which would suit me best. I do a mix of city and highway driving, so I'm looking for a balance of power and fuel efficiency. If anyone has experience with the available engines, I’d love to know what you chose and how it’s been working out for you. Any pros and cons to consider? Thanks in advance!

What are the dimensions of the 2023 Ford Escape?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 09:52 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

What are the dimensions of the 2023 Ford Escape? I’m trying to figure out if it’ll fit in my garage, but I’m having trouble finding the exact measurements. I don’t want to get it home only to realize it’s a tight squeeze or worse, that it won’t fit at all. Has anyone here measured theirs or know the official specs? I’ve got a pretty tight parking space, so every inch matters! If you’ve had any experience trying to fit it in a small garage or parking spot, I’d love to hear your thoughts (and maybe a tip or two). Thanks!

  What's the 0-60 time for a Ford Escape 2024?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 09:49 PM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

Hey, anyone here clocked the 0-60 time on the 2024 Escape? I'm curious, 'cause I read somewhere it's around 7 seconds with the 2.0L turbo. But I want to hear from actual owners—how fast does it feel IRL? Trying to see if my 'Escape' can really escape a traffic light faster than my buddy's CR-V Big Grin

Common problems with Ford Broncos across different years
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 08:45 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

If you're looking at Ford Broncos across different years, there are definitely a few common problems that tend to pop up. First and foremost is rust, which has plagued these vehicles, especially in the rear wheel wells, tailgate, and door sills. The older Broncos, particularly from the 80s and early 90s, are notorious for rust issues, so if you're in the market for one, always check those spots thoroughly. A lot of folks try to patch it up, but if it's deep, you're looking at some serious repairs down the line.

Another big issue is with the transmission, especially in the older models. The automatic transmissions can be a bit finicky, and if they haven't been maintained properly with regular fluid changes, you're asking for trouble. The manuals are generally more reliable, but the clutches can wear out faster than expected, especially if the Bronco’s been used for off-roading.

Electrical problems are also fairly common, especially as these trucks age. You might deal with faulty wiring, intermittent gauges, or even issues with the ignition system. It’s not uncommon to see Broncos with little “electrical gremlins” that can be tough to track down. Older vehicles like these don’t have the most robust electrical systems, so things like dim headlights, faulty tail lights, or blown fuses can happen more often than you’d like.

Finally, the engines themselves are generally pretty solid, especially the 5.0L and 5.8L V8s. However, over time, you may run into issues with oil leaks, particularly around the valve covers and oil pan. Cooling system problems can also crop up, so keep an eye on things like the radiator, hoses, and water pump—especially if the truck's been driven hard in hot conditions. All in all, if you take care of your Bronco and keep up with maintenance, many of these problems can be avoided or at least minimized. But as with any older vehicle, expect to spend some time and money keeping it in good shape!

What size tire is best for a 35-inch setup on a Ford Bronco?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 08:44 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

I’m planning to put 35-inch tires on my Bronco and want to make sure I get the right rim size and setup. I’ve heard that 15x10 or 16x10 rims are good options, but does the lift height affect which size is better? My Bronco has a 4-inch lift, and I’m wondering if that’s enough to avoid any rubbing or clearance issues. Will I need to trim the fenders or make any additional adjustments to make sure the 35s fit properly without causing problems when I’m off-roading or turning? If anyone’s done this setup, I’d love to hear what worked for you and if you faced any challenges with clearance, suspension, or overall ride quality. What else should I keep in mind when upgrading to 35s?

Are Toyo RT Trail tires a good choice for a Ford Bronco, especially for a mix of high
Posted by: Nicko - 09-04-2024, 08:42 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

I’m considering getting Toyo RT Trail tires for my Bronco, but I want to know if they’re worth the price. How do they handle both on the highway and off-road? I’m looking for something with solid grip for off-roading but that’s still quiet and comfortable for everyday driving. Are they durable enough for rough terrain, and do they hold up over time? If anyone has experience running these on their Bronco, I’d love to hear your thoughts on performance, road noise, and overall value!
