How Do Two-Door Broncos Compare to Four-Door Models in Terms of Off-Road Capability?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:43 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

Two-door vs. four-door—what’s the better choice for off-roading? I like the look of the two-door, but I’m worried I’ll miss the space of a four-door when camping. Anyone regretted their choice after a few trails?

What are you guys expecting from the 2025 Bronco?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:42 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

So, I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about the 2025 Bronco and I gotta say, I’m pretty excited but also a bit nervous about what they might change. On one hand, I love the rugged, old-school look it has right now. It’s what drew me in from the beginning, and I really hope Ford doesn’t mess with that too much. It’s got that perfect mix of nostalgia and modern capability, and I’d hate to see it go too ‘soft’ with any redesign.

That said, I’ve been reading rumors about some new tech upgrades, and I’m all for that. Things like better infotainment options, more advanced off-road systems, and maybe even some autonomous features would be awesome, as long as they don’t take away from the driver’s experience. I mean, let’s be real—half the fun of driving a Bronco is being in control, right?

I’m also really curious about the potential hybrid version. A hybrid Bronco could be a game-changer, especially for people like me who daily drive their Bronco but still want to hit the trails on weekends. If Ford can pull off a hybrid that still has solid off-road capability and doesn’t lose power or torque, I’m all in. Plus, the idea of better fuel economy definitely doesn’t hurt, especially with gas prices these days.

What are your thoughts? Do you think Ford should lean more into tech and efficiency, or keep things more old-school and simple? I’d love to hear what other folks are hoping for. What’s the one feature or improvement you’d like to see most in the 2025 model?

How Effective Is the Ford Bronco Modular Bumper in Tough Conditions?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:29 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

Is the modular bumper on the Bronco really worth it? I keep hearing it’s great for customization, but how does it actually hold up when you’re hitting rocks or rough terrain? Seems like it could be a bit gimmicky, but I might be wrong.

Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP vs. Other Tires for Off-Roading in a Bronco
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:25 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

Hey folks, I’m in a bit of a dilemma here. I’ve been going back and forth between the Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP and a few other off-road tire options for my Bronco. I do a lot of trail riding and some rock crawling on the weekends, but my Bronco is also my daily driver, so I need tires that can handle both. The Baja EXP seems to get solid reviews for its off-road performance, but I don’t wanna drop the cash if it’s gonna wear down fast or be too loud on the highway.

I’ve also been looking at the Toyo RT and BFG KO2 since they’ve got a good reputation for handling both on- and off-road conditions. I’m trying to find a tire that won’t kill my fuel economy (I know, wishful thinking with off-road tires, lol) but can still give me the traction I need when I hit those tougher trails. Anyone here running the Baja EXP on their Bronco? How does it stack up against the Toyo or KO2? I’d love to hear your experiences, especially if you’ve put some miles on them. Also, how’s the road noise and wear? My wife’s already tired of hearing my tires more than the radio.

What’s the Best Load Range SL Tire for a Ford Bronco?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:22 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

Anyone got recommendations for load range SL tires on their Bronco? I use mine mostly for daily driving with the occasional weekend trail adventure. I’m trying to strike a balance between comfort and durability. Thoughts?

Common Problems with the Ford Bronco 2.7 EcoBoost Engine
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:20 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

As a moderator, I’ve seen quite a few threads pop up about the 2.7 EcoBoost engine, and while it’s an impressive engine in terms of power and performance, there are a couple of issues that tend to surface. The big ones seem to be oil leaks, particularly around the oil pan, and turbocharger problems. It’s not something that happens to every Bronco, but if you’re looking to buy one, it’s definitely something to be aware of.

Some folks have reported these issues after a few thousand miles, while others seem to have no problems at all. A lot of it comes down to maintenance and how hard you're pushing the engine. If you’re doing a lot of off-roading or towing, you might see these problems sooner. Despite these hiccups, the 2.7 EcoBoost still packs a punch when it's working right. I’ve personally seen it perform like a champ on tough trails.

Is the Toyo RT Trail a Good Fit for the Ford Bronco?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:14 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

So I’ve been eyeing the Toyo RT Trail for my Bronco. Anyone running these tires? How do they hold up off-road? I do a mix of highway and trail driving, and I don’t wanna get something that’s gonna wear out too fast or sound like a jet engine on the road. Any feedback?

What’s the Difference Between Bronco Heritage and Bronco Wildtrak?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-06-2024, 12:13 PM - Forum: Bronco - No Replies

Hey y’all, I’m trying to decide between the Bronco Heritage and Wildtrak. I love the vintage vibe of the Heritage, but the Wildtrak seems better for off-road. Can anyone explain the differences in terms of performance? Is the Heritage all looks or can it handle rough trails too?

What size lug nuts are used on a 2015 Ford Escape?
Posted by: Nicko - 09-05-2024, 11:52 AM - Forum: Escape - No Replies

What size lug nuts are used on a 2015 Ford Escape? I’m planning to swap out my wheels and need to make sure I get the right size lug nuts for the job. Does anyone know the exact size for the 2015 model? Also, if you’ve done any wheel changes or mods, did you run into any issues with torque specs or stripping the lug nuts? I want to make sure I don’t mess anything up during the switch. Any advice would be great!
