Hey, does anyone know where I can find paint codes for a Ford Ranger? Got a few scratches I need to touch up.
The paint codes are usually located on the door jamb on a label or a sticker. You'll find all the vehicle info there including the VIN and, of course, your color code.
If you can't find the code or your label is damaged, check the owner's manual or the service book. There's usually a section with that info. Otherwise, a dealership should be able to help you.
Once you have the code, numerous websites will mix the paint for you. Just plug in the code, and they'll ship you the exact color. Had to do this for my dad's truck last year!
Also, there are apps now that let you click a picture and it’ll analyze the shade. Not as accurate as getting the exact code, but useful in a pinch. Technology, eh?
Totally agree with Cathy. Make sure that the online retailer you choose uses high-quality paint and can cater to specific vehicle models for the best match.
