How to use a fuel pressure gauge kit on a Ford Fusion?

I just got a fuel pressure gauge kit, but no clue how to use it on my Fusion. Is it tricky to do yourself? I’m trying to diagnose a fuel issue without dropping cash at the mechanic. Step-by-step advice would be awesome!
