Where is the fuel shut-off switch located on a 2015 Ford Explorer? My Explorer won’t start after a minor accident, and I suspect the fuel shut-off switch might have been triggered.
I’ve been there with my 2015 Ford Explorer. After a minor bump, the fuel shut-off switch might’ve tripped, which is likely why your Explorer isn’t starting. The fuel shut-off switch, also known as the inertia switch, is located in the passenger side footwell. You’ll find it behind the kick panel, near where your right foot would be when you’re sitting in the passenger seat.
To reset it, just press the button on top of the switch until you hear or feel it click. That should reset the system and allow your Explorer to start. Make sure everything else checks out before you try starting it again, just in case there’s another issue. Hope this helps, and you’re back on the road soon!
