Ford Explorer horsepower & engine options: Which one is the best?

Which engine is the best for a daily driver that also wants a bit of power on the weekends? I’m torn between the standard and the turbo. I’m not planning to tow much, but I like to push the gas pedal a little on the open road. Any thoughts?
