P0443 Code Ford: Evaporative Emission Control System Issue - How Do I Fix This?

I’ve got a 2007 Ford Fusion with a P0443 code – something about the EVAP system. I know it has to do with emissions, but I’m not exactly sure where to start. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this one? What should I be looking for? I don’t want to start replacing parts if I don’t have to.
